The Eastern Raiders Softball Club (ERSC)

The ERSC was formed in 1990. We are a family-oriented club with a "softball for everyone" approach. We have junior and senior teams of different skill levels to suit serious athletes or those looking to learn and have fun. We're always looking for new players and welcome players and their families.

Our seniors play at Waverley Softball Association, near Jells park on Saturdays at either 2 pm or 4 pm and train on Wednesday nights. During the Melbourne Softball Association winter season, we play at Fawkner Park in Melbourne. We are affiliated with the Victorian Softball Association and Softball Australia. 

Our juniors play in the South Eastern Metro League which is a home and away competition. Home games are at Waverley and away games are at Casey (Berwick), Frankston, GEMSA (East Bentleigh), and Knox.

We encourage all family members to join in, and our main focus is fun and participation. We like to see our players, partners and parents become involved in coaching, umpiring, scoring, supporting and any other facet of the club.

 Juniors

Our junior coaches focus on ensuring players learn skills while having fun. Juniors can join our U12 Mixed team, our U15 Boys team or U18 Girls team. Our juniors play in the South Eastern Metro League which is a home and away competition. Home games are at Waverley and away games are at Casey (Berwick), Frankston, GEMSA (East Bentleigh), and Knox. We also run regualr Batter Up development progrmas designed to intriduce kids to softball in a really fun way.

Eastern Raiders welcomes players of all ages and capabilities to join us. Opportunities exist for girls of all ages to advance through various grades of competition and to participate in teams for the Waverley Association, State and National Championships, or even Masters! (over 35). Our seniors play at Waverley Softball Association, near Jells park on Saturdays at either 2 pm or 4 pm and train on Wednesday nights.

Masters

We have a very enthusiastic and competitive Masters scene at Raiders. Women over 35 years of age have competed in Masters tournaments around Australia. All standards are welcome. Masters Tournaments take place at various times of year in Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, SA and WA. Stay tuned to our website or Facebook or contcat the club for details.
